Playgroups: Upon joining the club you will be invited to join a playgroup. Meeting with the same group each week allows for healthy, lasting friendships and strong support systems to develop among the kids and moms in each group. MOMS Club babies and children truly love their playgroups and eagerly look forward to playing with their friends and attending a fun activity each week. Each playgroup decides among its members when and where the playgroup will meet. Some meet at parks, others meet at a member’s home. Currently we have four playgroups based on age.
Moms Night Out/In Every month we pick a night where Moms can let loose, either by meeting up at a restaurant, club or movie or hanging out with other Moms at a member’s house. It’s much needed girl time and a good break from motherhood, if only for a few hours.
Field Trips We currently have 1-2 field trips a month. Field trips provide a chance for all members to socialize regardless of their children ages. MOMS Club calendar is member driven so we are always taking suggestions for new activites. Here is a list of a few of the field trips we have taken in the past.
- Los Angeles Zoo
- Travel Town
- Pumpkin Patch at Tapia Bros.
- Discovery Cube
- Indoor playgrounds
Book Club meets bimonthly to give everyone a chance to read the selection, titles range in topics and gives another great reason for a moms night out!
Family Events We love to encourage spouses to join in the fun also. Many of our holiday parties and weekend events allow dads to attend and meet other men in the community. We also try to plan quarterly couple nights out!
Speakers As a group we try to provide quarterly informational speakers, recently we had a Pediatric First-Aid presentation to cover important topics such as CPR and spider-bites. During these events child care is provided so caregivers can focus on the speaker.
Philanthropy Twice yearly our chapter organizes charity events or projects that benefit children or mothers in our community. We also partner with our national organization to support the mothers to mother fund.
